First-time setup

Configure your school before using the tools

After the School Admin signs in for the first time, complete these steps in order. Teachers should wait until classes, sections, subjects and their invite are ready.

  1. 1. School Profile & Board

    For: School Admin

    • After first sign-in you land on Onboarding. Fill school name, contact, address, academic year and total students.
    • Select your board (CBSE / ICSE / State / IB). This drives blueprints in Question Paper Generator.
  2. 2. Classes & Sections

    For: School Admin

    • Go to School Admin → Classes. Add grade-level classes (e.g. Grade 1 to Grade 10).
    • Open School Admin → Sections and add A / B / C sections with capacity for each class.
    • Without classes & sections, teachers cannot pick a class while generating content.
  3. 3. Subjects

    For: School Admin

    • School Admin → Subjects. Add every subject taught (Maths, Science, English, Social, Hindi…).
    • Map subjects to the relevant grade levels so they appear in dropdowns for teachers.
  4. 4. Invite Teachers

    For: School Admin

    • School Admin → Teachers → Invite. Enter teacher email and assign subjects + sections.
    • Teacher receives a magic-link email — clicking it signs them in and lands them on the Teacher dashboard.
  5. 5. Students & Bulk Import (Optional)

    For: School Admin

    • School Admin → Import. Download the CSV template, fill student names / roll numbers / section, then upload.
    • Required for ExamAI attempts, Report Cards and Holistic Progress Cards.
  6. 6. Templates & Grading (Optional)

    For: School Admin / Principal

    • School Admin → Templates: customize default AI prompts so output matches your school's style.
    • School Admin → Grading Schemes & Report Cycles: define grade boundaries and term schedule before generating report cards.
  7. 7. You're Ready — Start Generating
